Dottie wrote these 55 points to help families understand, discover and help them understand the dangers of human trafficking.
Note from the Editor:
I have known Dottie since 2007 and even after all these years, I am still amazed at what an incredible human being this woman is. She is perhaps the most caring individual I have ever had the opportunity to meet, and I cherish every moment of it. Dottie is totally dedicated to her mission of removing the scourge of human trafficking and suffering from this planet. She has rescued hundreds, if not thousands of children from the clutches of these criminals. And even after 20 years at this task, she continues to move forward on this undertaking with the same spirit and dedication.
In her booklet, Dottie lays out how to keep children and youths safe from the grasps of groomers and other sordid individuals that rake in millions of dollars selling our children. I fervently wish that this were an exaggeration, but it is not. Let me trot out some statistics for you to think about.
Two children are sold every minute. 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year. Over $150 billion are the yearly profits generated by the human trafficking industry, making trafficking the second most lucrative crime in the world.
Now, look at this: the average ages of child sex trafficking victims are between 11 and 14. Children under the age of ten are usually trafficked by a family member. 74% of all child trafficking cases end up being trafficked for sex.
This is why something must be done about it. In your hands is a set of tools and rules that you can implement to protect your family and loved ones.
In this series of posts, Dottie will take up each point to help you identify and prevent the grooming of your children!
Point #1
Many teens and young adults go missing at 3 AM, while their parents are sleeping in the next room, or from school, due to being lured or groomed online by human traffickers and sex predators.
