It's three in the morning and everyone is asleep except one. You hear a noise like a window opening and think one of your kids is warm and opening a window to let in some cool air. You think nothing of it and roll over to get more sleep. When you wake up you don’t see your child and call out their name reminding them that it is a school day and breakfast will be ready in a few minutes. You hustle through breakfast fixings and call out again. Frustrated, you charge up the stairs and she/he is not there, all you see is an open window.
GROOMING A VICTIM TO BE TRAFFICKED
Grooming a child to lure them offline and into the “real” world is a deliberate act of evil. There are many steps a predator takes, and you must always be aware of your child’s disposition. In the coming weeks, we will go over each point but know this, you just must be aware of your child. This can happen to you and your family. Never think human trafficking is something that occurs over there is some foreign country. Thanks to the Internet (as much as we love it) the predator is in your home!
Point #1
1. Many teens and young adults go missing at 3 AM, while their parents are sleeping in the next room, or from school, due to being lured or groomed online by human traffickers and sex predators.
