Last week Dottie was helping (photography) on a film set for Every 40 Seconds in Dallas produced by Chong Kim, Author of Broken Silence, and Eden screen writer. Dottie expounds about the making of the film and how proud she is to be partaking in its production.
The short film is called Every 4o Seconds and here in her own words Chong expounds about it.
“According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Every 40 Seconds a child or youth in AMERICA goes missing. 1 in every 4 falls into Human Trafficking. Minority American Children & Youth are typically categorized as 'Runaways & Child Prostitutes' instead of Victims of Human Trafficking. I (Chong Kim) was one of them. Now, I am making moves to change the way WE, US, THEM are seen victims.
"How can I feel empowered, when my sisters & brothers are STILL Oppressed." ~ Survivor.
“I want to thank KayDee Carr for her exceptional performance along with Madisyn and Amari playing 'JoLina' who is the Lead Character/Survivor of Human Trafficking. Thank you everyone, we have now created the beginning of change. ❤️❤️❤️ This is a short, the series is coming!!! Let the chips fall where they may!!!”
